Who We Are
This Privacy Policy applies to vernswoodworking.com, the website for Vern's Sawdust and Spirits Woodworking, a small woodworking business based in Charleston, West Virginia. Information We Collect
The main way we collect personal information through this website is our inquiry form, which visitors use to ask about available items or request custom work. Depending on what you fill in, the form may collect your name, email address, phone number, project details such as dimensions or materials, a budget range, a timeframe, and, if you choose delivery or shipping, your city, state, and ZIP code. You can also attach a reference photo or file to help describe what you're looking for.
We don't ask for payment information through this site. We don't currently sell products online, so we don't collect card numbers or billing addresses here.
How We Use Your Information
We use what you submit through the inquiry form to respond to your question or quote request and to keep a record of that conversation. We don't sell your information, rent it out, or use it for advertising.
How Your Information Is Handled
When you submit the inquiry form, two emails go out: one to us so we know you've reached out, and one to you confirming we received it. These emails are delivered through our email provider, Titan Email, over a secure connection. If you upload a file with your inquiry, it's kept with that submission record rather than added to our public media library.
Submissions are automatically deleted 180 days after they're received. If you'd like your submission deleted sooner, email us and we'll take care of it.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics through the Google Site Kit plugin to understand how many people visit the site, which pages they view, and how they use the site. Analytics measurement is controlled by Complianz and Google Consent Mode, based on the visitor's region and consent choices. Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technology, and Internet Protocol addresses are anonymized by design in Google Analytics 4. You can refuse or withdraw Statistics consent through the cookie preferences on this site. Google handles information it receives under its Privacy Policy.
YouTube Videos
If we embed a YouTube video, Complianz blocks the video player until you give Marketing consent. We also use YouTube's privacy-enhanced embed option where possible. If you give consent and load a video, YouTube and Google may receive information such as your Internet Protocol address, device and browser details, and how you interact with the video. Google handles that information under its Privacy Policy.
Cookies
You can control optional cookies and change your choices at any time on our opt-out preferences page.
No Accounts or Online Payments
This site doesn't have user accounts, logins, or an online checkout. Any purchase or custom order is arranged directly between you and Vern's Sawdust and Spirits Woodworking, outside of this website.
Children's Privacy
This website isn't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.
